    Living With Well-Defined Priorities

How are things going for you? What are you focusing on? Lately, I’ve been really focused on prioritizing my priorities. You know it’s very easy for us to say we prioritize something, yet neglect it at the same time. We must begin living with well-defined priorities. What are your priorities? Have you considered your priorities lately? Maybe the seasons have changed and so have your priorities. I encourage you to take a few moments to list them out. Sometimes things are added to our plate and we fail to realize that it causes a shift in our attention and energy. As I was driving the kids to school this morning,…

    Where’s Your Focus?

In life, we’re faced with situations that simply reveal where our focus is. Where’s your focus? Do you focus on others, situations, opposition, the past, or do you focus on where you’re going? Where’s Your Focus? If we are going to progress in life and keep momentum going in the right direction, we must begin to control our focus. In life, things happen. The unexpected constantly occurs. People come against us. We see and feel opposition on a daily basis. For myself, being a public speaker, I’m faced with negative expressions and energy while speaking. I’m learning to not take it personal, or absorb the negative energy of others, but…

THANKSGIVING 2020: Thankful in the Midst of it All

The world celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, but how is your heart? Is it truly full of thanks? Are you thankful in the midst of it all? 2020 has been quite a year. We’ve all experienced changes we would’ve never expected, but for us as Christians, the command is still the same: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” – Philippians 4:4 You may sincerely wonder: How can I rejoice with so much going wrong all around me? The answer is this: It’s a matter of perspective. Yesterday as I sent out my Thanksgiving text messages, I told a loved one: “Today, even with unmet desires, I choose to…

    I’ve Never Failed So Victoriously

Yesterday I failed a test, and I have to say that I’ve never failed so victoriously. I’m primarily sharing this for myself as I’m continuing to progress through my own freedom/humility journey. Secondly, I want to document this for our girls. Lastly, I want to encourage others from the lessons I’m currently learning from my real life. The test that I failed was the SIE exam, an introductory exam required for investment licensing. Though the test result displays fail, I know without a doubt that I spiritually won. The lessons for me were countless, and honestly the failure had nothing to do with the exam. It. Was. All. Spiritual. Do…

A Continual Convictor of the Soul

Do you realize the many benefits that come along with being a child of God? First off, as we place our faith in Christ, we are saved from the penalty of sin. As we experience freedom in Christ while living, we are saved from the power of sin. Lastly, when Christ comes back to gather His own, we will be free from the presence of sin. Though we are indeed free from the power of sin, as children of God, we will still find ourselves fighting to do right. Thankfully, we have a continual convictor of the soul through the Holy Spirit of God. Do you realize that you are…

So often we view God’s way as a hindrance to getting our on way, but in actuality, obeying God’s way positions us to receive better than our way. Doing things God’s way positions us to receive God’s best for us. Obedience brings blessings. What prevents you from obeying? Pride, fear, uncertainty? Or, do you literally feel unable to do things God’s way, as though you’re facing an impossible feat? We all face various challenges as it relates to obeying God, however, one thing we must agree on is that: God’s way is best.
