Finding Your Groove in 2020

Have you already settled into new routines this new year, or are you still working on finding your groove in 2020? If you’re like me, you’re still working on it. We tend to think that once a new year hits, we automatically experience newness. That’s not the case. Once a new year comes, we then have to work at creating our newness.

Finding Your Groove in 2020

1. Sit & Dream. A new year provides the perfect opportunity to sit & dream. You should analyze your current situation and compare it to the life that you’d like to live. Look at your relationships, your home, your family, but most importantly look at your heart.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

– Proverbs 4:23

2. Plan. Once you’ve taken the time to determine the changes you’d like to see in your life, you must take the next step and plan. How will your life change? What will you do? Dreaming is key, but dreaming alone won’t cut it. You must take the time to plan the things that you will do differently.

“Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”

– Habakkuk 2:2

3. Work. This is where we are most often deceived. We can dream and plan all day long, but none of it will come to pass without work. We often want more for our lives, but we seldom fully understand the work that will be required. Understand that in order to move forward in life, you must be committed to working, sacrificing, and enduring.

“For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.”

– Ecclesiastes 5:3
