Trusting When You Don’t Understand

We all have things that we don’t understand about life. Why did that happen? Why do I feel the way I do? Who am I? As we grow in our relationship with God, He will grant us the ability to understand many things, but we will not understand all things. We must learn to trust Him even when we don’t understand.

Trusting When You Don’t Understand

We all have strengths and weaknesses. We all have areas in our life that typically seem to go well, while other areas always seem to suffer. What areas in your life seem to be troubled without you fully understanding why?

It’s natural to try to go on a quest of attempting to figure everything out. The key is for us to remain led by the Holy Spirit. As we allow Him to guide us, He will guide us into understanding and trusting- gracefully.

There is a time to understand and there is a time to trust.

Only God can guide us down that path perfectly.

As He allows us to understand more about life and our own lives in particular, we are humbled. It’s humbling because He allows us to understand enough for us to come to the realization of just how much we need Him. The more He allows me to see, the more I see just how much I need Him.

We need God more than we realize.

As we allow God to lead us, we are both humbled and encouraged because we understand that we are in need and that He promises to provide us everything we need. Though there are dangers all around us, we fear none.

3 Scriptures to Help You With Trusting When You Don’t Understand

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

– Romans 8:28

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

– Psalm 23:4

“I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

– Psalm 27:13-14

Though we don’t understand everything, we can trust Him with everything. We must know that regardless of what we face, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37).
