It is very possible for us to be saved and going to heaven, yet be very fleshly as we walk this earth. It’s imperative for us all to tame the flesh & walk in the Spirit. As I’m reading Galatians this morning, I’m humbled at the Word of God. Galatians is dealing with the issue of believers feeling as though they are justified through the law. As believers of Christ we must know that we are not made perfect, nor are we righteous, because of our ability to keep the law. The Lord is certainly growing me in the knowledge of His grace and I’m in awe as I understand…

What’s Your Agenda?
All around us people have hidden agendas. I’m not solely pointing the finger because we all have to be watchful to ensure that we’re not operating with hidden agendas. We have to be intentional to keep our hearts pure or else we’ll be operating with agendas that we’re not even aware of. For instance, if a person has a control issue then they will very often be operating from a place of control- though not intentionally. Controlling others is in their heart so that will often drive what they do, even without them consciously making a decision to control others. So, the person who has unresolved control issues in their…

You Are Stopping You
Do you often wonder why you’re not where you’d like to be in life? Wonder if you’ll ever live the life of your dreams? Well, I’m realizing that we are the reason why. We often stand in the way of a better life for ourselves. You are stopping you. We are the reason we are where we are in life. Remember on my birthday when I wrote Less of me, more of Him? Well, every since then the Lord has been doing a work on me. It’s been a work like no other. One example: The other day the Lord was showing me something about myself and it really…

His Grace Is Enough: His Ways Are Not Our Ways
Sometimes Christ’s perfection can be disheartening. The longer you walk with Him, study Him, and learn His ways, you stand in awe at His perfection. Then, when you look at yourself, your ways, and your thoughts you feel as though you’ll never measure up. You wonder: Why am I still struggling with this? His Grace Is Enough. The Bible is filled with imperfect people that God chose to use in spite of their failures. Recently, I was reminded of Moses who committed murder and was still greatly used by God! Think about that… Murder? Really God? His Ways Are Not Our Ways. Last night while reading I read this, written…

Deal With Your Fear
I’m finding that when I feel the most fearful is when I need to exercise my faith the most. When fear tries to cripple us, stop us, and discourage us is when we must really rely on our faith. What do you fear? I encourage you to take some time today to deal with your fear. Fear will prevent us from moving forward in God and receiving the blessings that are just around the corner. Fear will prevent us from sowing, although we know that God’s Word has clearly told us that he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and he who sows generously will also reap generously (II…

This is the Time
Look around you: Whatever season you are currently in, this is the time for you. Life is full of seasons, changes, and processes. We must humble ourselves and walk closely with God so that we can learn to operate where we currently are in life. If we’re not careful, we won’t accept the season that we’re currently in- feeling as though we’re missing out on something. Wherever we are in life right now is for a particular reason. It doesn’t matter how rough or easy it is for us, it serves a purpose. Right now is not the end. We all have pasts that led us to today…

Slow Down
The faster we’re moving, the less likely we’re being directed by God.In order to hear from God throughout our day, we have to slow down. Lately, the Lord has been doing just that with me- slowing me down. I’m finding that as I’ve slowed down I’m consulting with Him more. I’m taking the time to pray more- about big and seemingly small things. A slower pace allows us to be more aware of ourselves, how we’re truly doing, and how we’re responding to others. As we slow down, we become more sensitive to the convictions of the Holy Spirit. The faster we’re moving, the more likely we’re depending…

11 Lessons from Yesterday
Some days are filled with lessons and opportunities, and yesterday was one of those days for me. Before I let go and move on, let me share 11 lessons from yesterday: 11 Lessons from Yesterday 1. STOP NEGATIVE ASSUMPTIONS. Don’t immediately jump to assuming negatively when dealing with situations and people. Slow down and trust. 2. BE KIND. Simple, but huge and often overlooked. Just be kind. 3. LISTEN TO OTHERS. Trust the people that God has placed in your life. Talk to them about what’s on your heart and listen to them. Really listen. 4. WALK IN LOVE. No matter how you’re feeling, push those feelings to the side…

MARGO: I’m 32. Now what?
I celebrated my 32nd birthday on Sunday and now I’m asking myself: I’m 32. Now what? Less of me, more of Him. I appreciate and respect the power in newness. New days and new years are important to me. When granted new time I like to take the time to ensure I’m doing what I need to do in order to experience the fullness of the new. I want to let go of the old and prepare myself to embrace the new. I’m 32. Now what? 1. Deal with me. The Lord is allowing me to see the many natural ways that I have that aren’t pleasing to Him. As…

Love With No Respect to Persons
When we love as Christ has commanded us to love, we love with no respect to persons. Outside of Christ our love is conditional. We love those who say they love us, we love those who actually love us, we love those who understand us, we love those who think like us, we love those who look like us. When we love like that we’re falling short- way short. When we love people for particular reasons we distribute love unfairly. We love someone because they do things for us, but what about the one who does nothing for us? Do we still love them the same? We love the one…
