We celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ yesterday, and though we didn’t gather in churches like we normally do (due to coronavirus), we can still experience His resurrection power.
In the middle of the night, going into Sunday morning, I was awakened by the sounds of loud thunder. I didn’t fully wake but I awakened enough to smile and experience resurrection power. I was full of joy as the Lord allowed me to get a taste of what that day would have been like as He arose on the day of His resurrection.
Oh, to experience resurrection power.
Do you think of what it was like? How the earth trembled? How opposing powers responded? Christ raising from the dead meant victory for His followers, but defeat for the opposing team.
As we follow Christ, and abide in Him as our true and living vine, we can experience resurrection power on a daily basis. The power that raised Christ from the dead lives in us, which is why we are able to live victoriously while we live this life. Without the power of God living within us, there would be no hope for any of us.
But, oh to experience resurrection power.
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
– Romans 8:11
The only question that remains is:
Does His Holy Spirit live in you?
The answer doesn’t lie in your behavior, deeds, social status, or family heritage. It’s simply a matter of faith.
Have you placed your faith in the One who grants us access to the Father? Have you trusted in Him who is the Way? “Jesus saith unto him:
‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
– John 14:6
Placing your faith in Christ is the only way to experience resurrection power.
As we believe in Him, by faith, He takes us by the hand and day by day we’re able to experience more and more of His resurrection power- in our daily lives. The beauty is in the unfolding, the transforming, the changing.
Christ changes us, and our lives, in such a way that we know it can only be explained by His amazing grace & matchless resurrection power.
