“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 All of my life I’ve been silent. Either not seeing, or seeing and lacking the strength to speak. Well, I’ve reached a turning point in my life where I have everything that I need to do both- see and speak. Now is a time to speak. Now is my season to speak. The traps have been set, the lies have been told, and the conspirers conspired- all in an attempt to hide the truth. Evil motives have been hidden for years, taking advantage of the hurt, the blind, the weak, and…

17 Lessons from 2017
We’ve entered a new year. Now what? Before we can move forward in the NEW, we have to deal with the OLD. What do you need to leave behind? Have you reflected on your past year? As I looked back over 2017, I noted my learnings. 17 Lessons from 2017: 1. There is always resistance in doing right. Just because God opens your eyes to something doesn’t mean that it will be easy to walk it out. 2. The Lord has to humble us to get the best out of us. 3. My feelings don’t control me; I have the power to control my feelings. We don’t have to just…

Start Where You Are & Stop Looking Back
It’s so easy to waste time thinking about what we should have done. We think: If I would have done that I would be in a different place right now. We get frustrated and discouraged, crying over what we can’t change. The key is that some things we can’t change but some things we can. Let’s focus on what we can change: Start where you are & stop looking back. When we start where we are it is important to acknowledge what we should have done differently. We need to make note of what to do going forward so that we don’t repeat mistakes. We must acknowledge what we did wrong,…

No Doubt. Only Faith.
Have you ever wanted something or even prayed for something, but then just as quickly doubted? Thoughts like: Well it may not happen or that’s probably too much creep into our heads and prevent us from fully believing. We must believe without a doubt. No Doubt. Only Faith. Doubt is a form of fear and we must put a stop to it. We must spot it first because it tries to be oh so sneaky. When I read of those that were healed by Jesus it was always about their faith. One thing that seemed to consistently irritate Jesus was a lack of faith- Doubt, unbelief, fear. They all prevent…

CHRISTIANS: The Fight Is On
Every day, the fight is on. As Christians, we are: blessed, forgiven & redeemed, yet we still have to fight. Every day. The sayings: Nobody’s life is perfect, everybody’s fighting some kind of battle, fight for what’s yours all imply that we’re fighting. As Christians, we must understand that daily we’re in a battle. We have 3 enemies: Our flesh, the world, and Satan. It seems that at all times, 1 of the 3 is throwing a punch. The fight is always on. The spiritual realm is always active, and the more we learn (help us, Lord) the more we have to fight. The more we learn, the more…

What are you willing to do for Christ?
What are you willing to do for Christ? What are you willing to go without for Christ? We know the scandalous things we’re willing to do for the the love of money: lie, steal, cheat, even kill. On the other hand: What are we willing to do for the love of Christ? I’m realizing that there are some things that we just cannot do without a sincere, devoted love for Christ. I believe that one of the reasons Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love Him and love others, is because if we love Him more than anything then our love for Him will keep us obeying Him and…

THANKSGIVING 2017: Thankful For Faith
If I didn’t have faith, I wouldn’t have anything. As we celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, I made up my mind to be THANKFUL FOR ALL THINGS and to ENJOY THE DAY. This meant that we moved at our own pace. We didn’t rush to do anything. Actually, we slept in! But guess what? We enjoyed the day from beginning to end. I’m truly thankful for faith. We started our morning by reading and praying as a family. We read Ephesians 5:15-20. “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” – Ephesians 5:20 We must give thanks always-…

Stop Questioning & Start Believing
So often we find ourselves questioning, instead of believing. We question ourselves, our abilities, our worth. We question others, their motives, their reasonings. And worst of all, we question God, His promises, and His Word. Lord, help us to stop questioning & start believing. I’m finding that our questioning is really rooted in fear and insecurity. We don’t trust, so we question. We’re afraid of being hurt, so we question. We’ve hardened our hearts, so we question. That’s not right, and it surely isn’t love: Love beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things (I Corinthians 13:7). God has called us to walk in love. “Be…

Chosen For Struggle
Have you ever thought that you have been chosen for your particular struggle? I’m reading Isaiah 43:2 this morning and this is what the Lord said to His chosen, redeemed nation: “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” – Isaiah 43:2 Though we are saved, chosen, and redeemed, we will still have to go through some things. Satan has fed us the lie that money and riches are everything, which is why he’s able to lure us away…

LIFE: Order Is Everything
So much of our stress in life is a result of doing things out of order. Order is everything. We’re running around worried about everything, forgetting that He told us if we keep our mind stayed on Him, He will keep us in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). We rush trying to get things done, forgetting that we are not here to simply get things done- We are here for His pleasure. “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” – Revelation 4:11 We should be less concerned with pleasing others, and…
