There’s Always A Fight: His Grace is Sufficient

I believe that no matter who we are or what we have that we are always fighting something.  The fight may change, but still there’s always a fight.

If we’re honest we could say that as long as we’re living we’ll be fighting.  Kind of sounds depressing.  What’s the point?

As I’ve grown in life and my circumstances have changed, I’m learning that there will always be a new fight.  Have you ever faced something that you never would’ve thought you’d be fighting?  Or, are you now fighting a weakness that has always been a strength?

How Do You Fight?

It’s wise to never get too confident, complacent, or comfortable.

You may be fighting to gain things now, but keep in mind that you will also have to fight to maintain them.  One day a strength could turn into a weakness.  I’m learning that there will always be something in life to keep us humble.

This makes me think of the apostle Paul when he pleaded with the Lord to take his thorn away from him.

The Lord replied to him:

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

– II Corinthians 12:9a

Wow.  We must remember that we’re not perfect, life is not perfect, and in order to cope with all the imperfections we must trust in the Lord’s power.  We mustn’t brag about our own strengths, instead we must accept that we can only do so much.

Paul’s reply to the Lord:

“Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

 – II Corinthians 12:9b

We have to get to a point of recognizing that there’s always a fight in life and in order to make it through we must trust in the power of God, realizing that His grace is sufficient.

I used to really struggle with the constant fights in life.  After crying out to Lord, He blessed me with this post- Why Do We Fight?  It really has been a life-changer for me.
