Sometimes we have to step away so things can work out. We have to quit working, and let God do His work. Sometimes a step back can move us a step further. Letting go can also mean gaining. Stepping back always feels like a loss, but huge gains often come after huge losses. Take a step away and rest.  Rest your mind, your will, your emotions. Resting boosts productivity. It’s so easy to subconsciously place your life in someone else’s hands, however, we must be intentional to make the best decisions for our lives.  We must make decisions that will move our lives forward. We often trust, rely on, and hope that others are looking out for our best interest. Lately I’ve been very sensitive and observant to the interactions that I have been having with some fellow Christians.  Yes, I get it, no one’s perfect; but I have been noticing a few things that should rarely be observed from Christians. To be transparent means to be free from pretense or deceit.  When we are transparent we are easily detected or seen through, readily understood. How many of us are truly transparent?  How often does pride stop us from sharing something?  How often do we stop ourselves from doing something because of how it may make us ‘look’?   What about this one: What would they think of me? I am in love with this word- refined! I’ve been looking into it since after writing this post, and I recently reviewed the antonyms.  You have to check this out!  If you haven’t already, read the post over the scripture Psalm 66:10.  That’s where it all started. It’s so easy to look at our current, imperfect state and think this is as good as it gets.  We’re discouraged when we fail to see beauty. There are times when weaknesses seem to overshadow strengths and blemishes cover up beauty, leaving us feeling discontent with what we see in ourselves.  We eagerly run to quick-fixes, attempting to cover up and conceal our blemishes.  Instead, we should look within, focusing on our inside, which will inevitably brighten and beautify our outside.
