4 Days Left in 2020: Start Visualizing for the New

We’re down to 4 days left in 2020. How are you feeling? How will you spend the remainder of your year?

I’m feeling optimistic and excited about the new possibilities that are right around the corner. 2020 has been quite a year, and we’ve all been impacted in various ways, but regardless of what you’ve faced: I encourage you to take the time to start dreaming again.

What do you see? What would you like to accomplish in 2021?

If you don’t take the time to reset, refresh, and reimagine, no one will do it for you. You must dream for yourself, and that’s exactly what I’m encouraging you to start doing as we close out this year.

15 Things to do in the Last 15 Days of 2018 has some really great tips on cleaning, clearing, and creating for a new year. Once you’ve done that, I encourage you to:

So often, we hold ourselves back just because we’re mentally remaining stuck in seasons. We struggle for so long that we just begin to accept struggle as a way of life. Or, we look around and don’t see anything to emulate so we just settle.

I get it. Life has a way of wearing you out. Life is not easy. It’s even harder if we attempt to go at it on our own, however, there is a better way.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31

There is a better way to do life. God offers us His best way. We must simply yield. We have to get to a point of realizing that we can’t do life on our own. We have to accept that our strength is limited. We must realize that we are not our own (I Corinthians 6:19).

Though submitting to God and His way may seem like a loss at first, it is truly how we gain (Matthew 10:39). We must relinquish control and our own agenda, submit to His process, and in the end we’ll gain more than we could have ever imagined.

Christ came and sacrificed His life so we can experience life and life more abundantly (John 10:10). In order to receive His abundance, we must do things His way. No, we may not always understand it. Yes, it may seem to take longer than we’d like, but in the end we will be blessed to experience good success with no sorrow with it (Joshua 1:8, Proverbs 10:22).

There’s 4 days left in 2020.
