Possible Does Not Mean Easy

One of the biggest misperceptions that causes us a lot of stress is thinking that things will be easy. We’re fed the fairy-tale illusion by the world, which leads us to underestimate the cost that we’ll have to pay to attain our dreams. God’s Word tells us that anything is possible with God. That is absolute truth. We must, however, realize that possible does not mean easy.

Anything worth having will not come easy.

What are you going after? How much are you willing to pay? Have you accepted the reality that anything worth having will not come easy?

Personally, I feel like this is a truth that I have to be continually reminded of. Life is full of good days & bad days. The good days can lead us to believe that we’ve arrived and we have it going on. While the bad days can discourage us and cause us to lose perspective. While they are both necessary, we must learn to handle them both well.

Good days & bad days are apart of life.

Once you accept this reality, you are better equipped to handle them both well. On your good days, praise God for His goodness in your life. On your bad days, praise God for the strength to make it through. God is the author of all our days, and He knows what we need.

I love the truth found in I Peter 1:6:

“Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:”

The key for me: if need be.

God knows what we need. He knows the highs and lows that we personally need in order to humble us, to know Him, and to be conformed to the image of His Son. The forefront test for us is:

FAITH.

Do we believe that God has a plan for our lives? That He knows what’s best for us? Do we truly believe that God works all things out for our good?

The factor that will always bring us through is: FAITH.

So, as we journey through life and begin to question if our dreams are possible, let’s consider the importance of faith. As we experience the diversity of days that this life will inevitably bring our way, let’s remember that God knows what’s best for us.

As you question the plan that God has for your life and it seems so out of reach, remember:

Possible Does Not Mean Easy. Keep going for it.
