Two times today I’ve heard the message: “It’s not your fight.”
Earlier, while listening to a Joyce Meyer message she spoke of how she always wants to solve other people’s problems. She discussed how she often takes on more than she should because she’s picking up fights that aren’t hers to begin with.
Then, while talking to my husband he flat out told me: “It’s not your fight.” He told me to not try and control the situation, but let the Lord work it out.
So, now I’m writing to encourage you that it’s not your fight either. How often do we stress ourselves over situations or try and control them when truly we should just give them to God.
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”
– Psalm 46:10
It’s Not Your Fight: Be Still & Trust.
Sometimes the situations are personal, yet they’re still not our fight. They may affect us, our children, or our family; but it’s still not meant for us to jump in and attempt to control the situation. Sometimes prayer and trusting the Lord to work it out is the best thing we could ever do.
The devil is the author of confusion. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy (John 10:10). Often times he may be attempting to confuse and overtake us, but all we need to do is trust the Lord.
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.”
– Psalm 20:7-8
Whatever comes your way, place your ultimate trust in the Lord and He shall direct your paths & allow you to stand firm.
It’s Not Your Fight: Be Still & Trust.
