You know what I believe causes a lot of stress in our lives? Not living an anchored & orderly life.
We would be surprised at how much more peaceful and enjoyable our lives would be if we simply lived more anchored & orderly.
Mondays are a source of stress for many people. We’re coming off the weekend which can sometimes be a whirlwind. It’s time to get back to business but so often we haven’t properly and spiritually dealt with the many issues that we faced over the weekend.
As I write, I still have a few issues that I will sit and fully give to the Lord. Mondays are a great day to get spiritually refreshed & refocused.
Living an Anchored & Orderly Life: 2 Keys
Remaining Anchored in Christ
It is imperative for us to remain anchored in Christ. God’s principles must be our way of life for every situation we face and every position we hold. We don’t only focus on God’s Word on Sunday, nor do we exclude it from our professional lives. For us to experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, we must keep our minds stayed on Christ (Isaiah 26:3).
Doing Things in Order
Another important aspect of living a balanced life is doing things in order. We experience so much stress by simply doing things out of order. Sometimes we straight up do the wrong things, but there are other times when we may not be doing wrong, we’re just doing it out of order. It’s imperative for us to rely on God and fully trust Him. As we do, He promises to guide our steps. God is a God of order and He truly blesses order. It could be that the cause of our stress & strife is that we’re set on doing things our way, not God’s way.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.”
– Proverbs 3:5
As we’ve started a new week, I pray that you will take the time to focus on living an anchored & orderly life. As you do, I know that God will bless you with a peace that only comes from Him.
With love,
