What are you doing with your time? Sometimes we’re afraid to set big goals due to the amount of time they will take, but we must remember that time moves regardless.
When you determine what you are doing with your time, you will understand what you are doing with your life. A few years ago, when I was considering law school, I read something that has stuck with me. It basically said: 3 years is going to come anyway.
At that point my thinking shifted from saying: “law school will take too long” to “I want to do whatever the Lord’s will is for me to do.” It was a complete perspective shifter for me.
Next year is right around the corner, and 5 years will pass before we know it. One of the best things we can do is manage our time. Don’t be intimidated by big goals, time moves regardless. What we do with our time now will determine the position we are in when the time does pass.
Value your time by realizing it is non-renewable. Time is one of the few things we don’t get again. We will never see today again. There are no re-do’s with time.
Time Moves Regardless.
“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
– Ephesians 5:15-17
What do you stand for in life? What is God’s will for your life?
It is imperative to seek God so that He can give you purpose and clarity about your life. Once He gives it to you, nothing can take it away.
If college is apart of your plan, don’t limit yourself. Whatever you do, time will move regardless. Go all the way. My first semester of graduate school is done and I’m thankful. Time management has been key. Each semester of college that you complete demonstrates what you’ve been doing with your time.
Set big goals. Time moves regardless.
