Have you ever dealt with someone who lied to you & lied so well that you didn’t even recognize it until after you’d already been deceived?
Well, as good as that person was they have absolutely nothing on Satan. Satan is a master deceiver; the father of lies; the truth is not in him (John 8:44). In order for us to enjoy the abundant life that Christ died for us to live, it is imperative for us to be able to identify & reject the lies of Satan.
Satan is a liar, deceiver, and destroyer of all that is of God. He is a tempter and He longs to see us disobey God and pursue evil. Though he can’t force us to do anything, he fills our heads with lies, pushes us to the edge and then waits for us to react.
He is so strategic. Often, in the moment we don’t even recognize him. After we’ve acted on his lies and confessed our sins to God, God will often walk us back through the scenario to show us how & where we were deceived and influenced by Satan.
Satan fills our head with lies, banks on us believing them and then acting on them. When we act on Satan’s lies we will destroy. It’s inevitable- his whole aim is to steal, kill, and destroy. He’s a thief (John 10:10). He desires to destroy our marriages, our families, our children & their self-esteem.
Let’s pray that we are able to see more clearly the schemes of the devil, and when we do see them that we’re strong enough in the Lord to reject them and replace them with God’s truth.
“Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
– Ephesians 6:11
We’re in a spiritual battle. Life is not always easy as we’re constantly faced with various attacks from Satan. It’s not easy, but we can overcome. We know that greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world (I John 4:4). How do we obtain the victory?
Reject the lies of Satan.
Maybe you’ve allowed Satan to destroy your self-esteem, your relationships, your family, maybe even your marriage. At the time you may not have realized, but now you can clearly see the schemes of Satan.
You must know that God is a restorer. His mercy endures forever. If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). It’s never too late. God will never leave us, nor forsake us. Even when we fall short, sometimes wayy short, He will never give up on us. We are His children.
“Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.”
– Psalm 38:21-22
Wherever you are in your walk with the Lord, I pray that you will pull close to Him and allow you to show you the truth so you are equipped to reject the lies of Satan & live freely and abundantly.
With love,
