What are you feeling?

What are you feeling?  How are you feeling?  What thoughts are dominating your mind?  Attacking your emotions?

We all should remain sensitive to our feelings.  Every thought, every feeling, every state of mind should be lined up with God and His Word.  How do our feelings compare to what God says?  We have to check ourselves and get on God’s program.  I’m learning that nothing else will do.  Nothing else can encourage my soul and my mind.  We may experience temporary moments of happiness relying on sources other than God’s Word, but they are just that- temporary.

Nothing but the Word of God can infuse an unshakeable peace in us, that NOTHING can disrupt:

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”              – Isaiah 26:3

What are you thinking about?  Whatever you keep your mind on will influence how you feel. Be intentional about what you put your mind on.  Don’t take for granted that you are a believer in Christ Jesus.  Believing in Him gives you something that you can’t even pay for.

Peace, victory, purpose, encouragement, love, joy, strength.  It all comes from Him.  Think about the cost.  If he died on the cross, shed His precious blood, let’s know it wasn’t for a small benefit.  Not at all, a major cost for major benefits.  Don’t be fooled into thinking you can get what you need from any other source than Jesus Christ.  He is the one.  He is the way, the truth and the life.  The only way.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:”. – Psalm 103:3

The benefits of submitting to Christ, serving Him, and staying close to Him are too numerous to name.  As the world tries to push us away from Him, let’s run to Him.  Like the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:24-34), let’s run to Him with everything we have, pushing through everything and everyone to get to Him.  For we know He has everything that we need.
