The condition of your heart will influence the quality of your life. Whatever is in our hearts will impact what we think, what we speak, how we see others, even how we see ourselves. Perception is reality is the truth, if you ask me.
The heart helps us determine what’s truth and what’s not. It’s not always what we see, but rather it’s how we see it. And we can’t always rely on what’s said because everyone has a perspective- their perspective.
I don’t think we talk enough about what’s in our hearts. Too often we are misled by the surface. We think what is beautiful is good, which is a much too common deception. If it glitters it’s gold, and if it’s shiny it’s sought after. We have to start paying more attention to what we can’t see. This will tell it all.
Proverbs 4:23 says “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Our actions are a result of what’s in our heart. Do you guard your heart? Do you monitor it? Making sure to get the junk out? Do you forgive and let go?
Our hearts take offenses. As long as we live we’ll feel hurt in our hearts, but the key is dealing with the issues in our heart so that we are able to live, love, and thrive despite the pains we’ve faced.
I’ve made up my mind to deal with the issues of my heart. Forgiving, loving, and moving on. I’ve committed to this simply because I want to live my life to the fullest & I understand that in order to do this I have to keep my heart right.
