“… be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.” – Romans 16:19
What are we learning? In what ways are we growing? What types of conversations are we engaging in? What questions are we asking?
These questions will give us an idea about what we are wise in, and what we are innocent in.
Tonight was my first time reading Romans 16:19, and it really awed me. We should be intentional to not be sharp and keen in the wrong things. The Bible tells us to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. So we must first have an interest in what is good. We should be disinterested in things that aren’t good.
The world isn’t perfect, honestly it’s full of imperfections, but we must be intentional about giving our attention to the right things. We should focus our minds and hearts on what is good, upright, and productive. We should limit our time toward things that are evil, wrong, and unfruitful.
There is so much stimulation around us, and whether we recognize it or not we are always growing in something. We should all be intentional to grow in good things.
