As I sat poolside watching Maraya play with her newly acquired friends, there was an overwhelming peace upon me. I was so relaxed, calm, and I felt so fortunate.
I’m sitting poolside at our hotel in New Orleans watching my healthy daughter run, play, and laugh. The sun was out, the sky and trees were beautiful- it was practically perfect.
My life is not perfect, but I’m so blessed. I have problems, but I have so much to be thankful for. I’m able to travel, and even more importantly I’m able to travel with family. Family is love. And nothing is greater than love.
While in New Orleans I’ve observed many struggles. I know I can’t fix the world, but I do have compassion. I have compassion on the young kids that are on the corner trying to hustle for a dollar. It’s obvious that life is not easy.
This trip has me reflecting upon myself and my life. Again, my life is not perfect but I’m so blessed.
I feel so fortunate. Thank you God.
