3 Reasons To Appreciate The Bible

1. Hope.  The Bible is filled with stories of nobodies who went on to accomplish great things.  It gives me hope to know that I don’t have to be a Hilton or a Kardashian to become successful.  God often uses those that have unfavorable pasts to do his work.  Don’t believe me?  Read about Esther or even Paul.  Esther had neither her mother nor father, yet she went on to become Queen!  Paul attacked the church, and then he was chosen by God to spread Christianity!  It gives me so much hope to know that with God my past does not dictate my future.

2. Encouragement.  We all have those times when we feel low, discouraged, or even depressed.  The Bible has stories like Job that reminds us no matter how bad it gets, God will still come through and restore us.  Or even give us more than we had before!  Oh, and this is one of my favorite scriptures:  “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”.  – Romans 8:28

3. Wisdom.  My oh my, this is huge!  The success of our lives depends on how wisely we manage it.  We have to make wise decisions in order to live a rewarding life.  We must use wisdom in building relationships, ending relationships, managing our careers, finances, and our families!  I could go on and on, but wisdom is so very essential!  Proverbs is full of wise parables that we should all appreciate and read on a regular basis.  I love this one: “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.”  – Proverbs 11:2

There are obviously COUNTLESS reasons as to why we should appreciate The Bible, but I thought of these 3 reasons this morning so I wanted to share.  I hope you enjoyed!
