TODAY: Trust more, Do less

If you’re anything like me, you’re always thinking, doing, planning, or working. Sometimes we tend to think that we’re in control, even though we’re truly not.

We could work our entire lives for something, then it be taken from us. We work hard for degrees, then we’re unable to get a job. We work hard raising our kids, then they fail us.

We definitely must do our part in life- Be responsible, work, make good decisions; but we can’t do everything. There must be a balance between working and trusting.

We must trust God to take care of us when all else fails, we must trust our kids to make good decisions based on what we’ve taught them- We must simply trust.

We must trust that as long as we do our part, that everything else will be worked out.

Today I am worrying, working, and doing less. I’m trusting more. I’m trusting that although I can not control everything, everything WILL work out.

  1. Or positively will! I heard it out this way once and loved it! “It’s like driving at night from New York to California. You may only be able to see 200 feet in front of you. But that doesn’t mean you won’t make it there.
